“I’ve been looking for a portable dust collection setup for my shop, for when I need to move the sander or router. This unit is unreal! I started with a new HEPA rated filter on my Ridgid W/D vacuum, to see how much particulate made it through. I was able to fill a 33 gal trash can over the course of a day, and the filter had only a light dusting, with nothing actually in the vacuum container. “If you do any degree of woodwork with power tools that accept a vacuum port – I suggest you grab one of these. The benefit is you don’t have to clean your shop-vac filter. … Personally I made a caddy with my Ridgid wet dry vacuum to make an all in one system that easily moves around my garage to different tools. You could make your own, and there are many options on the web for it, but honestly the fact that the kit comes with a small hose and 90 degree connector makes it slightly more cost effective to get this than make your own.”

“This dust separator is simply amazing! I knew of these a while ago and always wanted one but most were home made or too expensive. However, while buying a new vacuum at Home Depot, I came across this Dustopper and immediately bought it and I use it every time I use my vacuum because the filter stay clean while 99% of the dirt gets trapped inside a bucket that’s easy to dump in the trash.
